I'm pursuing my Master's degree in Applied IT at UrFU Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems.
Ural Federal University is a very big and beautiful university with modern dormitories and well-equipped classrooms and labs with everything needed for students. Professors are easy to reach and always willing to help with anyconcerns. UrFU has an Adaptation Center for Foreign Student that provides assistance to foreign students in any issues: arrival, accommodation, studies, banking, medical, travel, cultural activities, internship etc. I admire UrFU teaching staff with rich experience- they always try to do their best for students. I have enjoyed the experience of living in Ekaterinburg and meeting new people from different backgrounds. Besides friends among Russian people, I have also the chance of meeting people from many other countries: Arab world, Africa, Latin America, Europe etc.

I'm doing my PhD degree in Psychology after completing my Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at UrFU that I really enjoyed. My overall impression of the university is extremely positive. I appreciate how involved and engaged the faculty members are. I also love the camaraderie among the staff and students. This makes for a positive atmosphere all throughout the university. I enjoy Ekaterinburg. It is a magnificent city, steeped with immense cultural and historical depth. It is a city that has managed to uniquely combine its architectural past to its present. The city is cozy and welcoming. I absolutely adore Ekaterinburg! My impression of Russia is the warmth of Russian hospitality and incredible love and kindness you are welcomed with. In the future, I hope that I will work as a lecturer in UrFU and continue my research at the Department of Psychology.

I am taking a Master's degree in Political science at UrFU.
UrFU gives the possibility to participate in various interesting activities apart of studies: sports competitions, festivals and concerts, dancing and language courses. I also admire the help of UrFU buddy system to foreign students. My expectations of Russia were high, since I had always wanted to come here, and so far I have actually felt those expectations fulfilled, even finding new and great things about living in here. My most vivid impressions of Russia are those related to the opportunity to get to know various distant regions of this same country, with such different landscapes and people, it´s a memory that will last forever.

My name is Jorge Martinez, I am from San Diego, USA. I am a Master's
student in IT Innovations in Business (Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems) There were two main reasons of why I chose UrFU: good programs in English offered here and a financial reason. It is more affordable to study in UrFU than in other Russian Universities. This includes both tuition fees and cost of living. I have a positive image of the university. The main buildings have beautiful Roman style architecture. There are security checks on all entrances. All classrooms have everything you need, computers, projectors etc. The professors and administrative staff are very helpful. The University
has a program that provides the assistance of bilingual students to help you with all processes. I have enjoyed the experience of living in Russia and meeting students from different countries at UrFU. I think Russia is a great country. I have no doubt that in many aspects it is a first world country.
